On Being affraid...

Everyone is afraid at one time or another. But having a phobia is a cry for help. You just can’t get that person to do something he/she is afraid of. Like, I am afraid to get close to men I like/crush. I don’t know if that’s a phobia, but it probably is.

This phobia does not say I have one http://www.phobialist.com/.

Another site on phobia is http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/phobias.html. Or, just go to the site I looked it up on at

http://www.ask.com/web?q=Phobias+&qsrc=1&o=10358&l=.

“The amount of worry or fear a person has depends on how close they are to the object, situation, or activity they are afraid of.”

WebMD might be your best but one learning about what that person needs most out of you to help them. http://www.webmd.com/anxiety-panic/tc/phobias-topic-overview?page=3

“Phobias are treated with cognitive-behavioral therapy. This therapy includes imagining or actually being close to the object, situation, or activity that you are afraid of. This is called exposure. Cognitive-behavioral therapy can be done with one person or in a group.”

I do not know much, but I hope this help’s.
