Writing is the only way

Writing is the only way
I can think of coping
From what I have been through
Writing my feeling down is all I can do
If you ask me how I was doing
I would say “I’m fine”
That’s the only way I know of to cope
People don’t know what it’s like
To be someone like me
To be made fun of
Just because you’re a little slower then them
Other kids have the same problem’s as me
They don’t like to show it
Buy there hurting like me
That’s why there’s Special Olympics
You can be who you are
And, not get made fun of
Only if more kids knew about Special Olympics
Then they would not get made fun of
They could just be who God made them to be
Writing is the only way
I know how to cope
For if not
I might go crazy
And, that’s the end of that

Writing is a real outlet for feeling, and you have plenty to say. I like your straightforward style: it's direct and uncluttered and touching. Thanks for sharing your work with us.
I agree, writing is from the heart and its good to get it out!
JSwim, there is no reason for anyone to treat you any different. We're all different from one another, one way or another. (WOW! That's alot of 'nothers', huh?) It makes me sad that some people are not willing to get to know someone based on pre-judgements. You sound like an amazing person that I would love to spend time with. I might not be able to keep up with you, though. Swimming takes alot of endurance. Sometimes, I'm kind of short on that.
I'm sorry that you have been hurt. Writing definitely helps! And you're talented in that department.
I noticed you like to read romance fiction. If you like humor along with it, I would suggest Lisa Wingate's books. Namely, "Talk of the Town". I laughed the whole way through it. Some of her other stuff is more romantic and less humor, but everything I've read of hers so far is terrific!
I am affiliated with Special Olympics and work with some of the kids on our local team. Bowling is my favorite. Of course, it's what most of the kids are involved in, but that could be because quite a few are wheelchair bound and don't do the swimming.
Anyway, I just wanted to say "hello" and tell you how excited I am to have "met" you!

Jswim: I think we all feel the same about writing. Writing our feelings is the best way to express the hurt, the pain, the sorrow, the anger, and all the other negative emotions. It's also a great outlet for the joy, the happiness, the successes and all the things that make us tingle inside. I'm glad you found HubPages. We're very lucky to have you here to share with the world what it's like to be you and how you feel.
